Roeland Residential Subdivision

Blog, Project

Roelands is an outer suburb of Bunbury in the south-west of Western Australia. The locality is situated along the banks of the Collie River and has recently been impacted by the Wilman Wadandi Highway. The subject site for this proposal was a remnant portion of land separated by the highway following its construction. Bushfire Logic was engaged to undertake the required bushfire consulting reports to support a Local Planning Scheme amendment to rezone the land to permit a future subdivision application creating approximately 25 residential lots. Rather than preparing two separate Bushfire Management Plan reports, we completed a hybrid assessment acknowledging the level of detail that both local and state government planning officers would be looking for to inform their consideration of the proposal.
